Careth Ltd are skilled in all areas of tree landscaping, woodland management and tree surgery.
- Felling - where a tree is no longer required, has become decayed or dangerous, we can cut it down and dispose of the wood.
- Reduction - reducing the height and spread of a tree might be required if a tree is growing too big for its site, or is casting unwanted shade for instance
- Lifting - removal of lower branches to create space and light below the tree. This is ideally done progressively as the tree matures to avoid large scars
- Thinning - reducing the density of the tree crown by reducing the number of limbs and branches. This maintains the tree’s overall dimensions but allows more light through
- Pollarding - a form of tree reduction where all branches and limbs are severely cut back leaving a high stump which will then sprout new growth in all directions. Pollarded trees require re-trimming every 2-5 years to keep them in shape.
- Dead-wooding – cutting out dead or diseased branches can protect you and your property and save your tree from wind damage.
- Forestry - Careth Landscaping can fell and clear small areas of forest for development or re-planting, or perform woodland maintenance tasks such as thinning
- Leylandii - the fastest growing hedging plant in the west! Chances are, the small hedge you planted several years ago has outgrown a manageable size and is now causing a nuisance. Careth Landscaping can cut Leylandii down to size and maintain them that way, or remove the trees completely if required.
- Pruning - fruit trees often require regular pruning for best results. Careth can prune your fruit trees down to size, increasing yields and enabling easier fruit collection. We can also train fruit trees to grow across a wall for example.
- Firewood - due to our tree landscaping activities, we are able to supply seasoned hardwood fire logs, cut and split to size. Our firewood logs are usually a mix of Oak, Beech, Elm, Ash and Birch, and are delivered by the trailer load (1 tonne).
